Computer Education is rightly being made compulsory in all faculties in Schools and Colleges. That the authorities have realised the need for Computer knowledge in all branches is a matter of gratification. With the explosion of Information Technology, the need for Computer experts has become unlimited and with borders of human knowledge ever expanding, the need is ever increasing.

Though at the undergraduate level, Computer Science is included as one of the subjects of study, it hardly matches the expertise required. Master of Computer Application, alone can serve the requirement. Students will acquire the necessary know-how and will fit not any strategic position. They are not only sought after but they will be well looked after salary wise.

The Course content is well balanced for the present day Computer Scientist. The latest languages are covered in a well laid foundation of the basic languages.

Large number of students apply for computer Oriented Courses. However, good student material is required for the course as it would then be possible for decent placement of the qualifying graduates. Strict selection procedures ensure this end result.

LOCATION

The college is located in a building in the heart of Bangalore with adequate facilities for the lecture room, computer lab, conference hall, library and other facilities, and about 4 km from the city railway station.

FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT THE COMPUTER SECTION

As the degree is entirely based on software excellence, the section is fully equipped with state of the Art facilities. Each student is provided with a Pentium processor 400 MHz with 32 MB RAM and 6 GB Hard disc with SVGA colour monitor, all for himself/herself. In addition the section has a server with the network. All Computers have multimedia Provision and several have the Internet Connection. The Computers are housed in a clean room with reclining chairs for continous operation. A full load uninterrupted power supply takes over in case of power failure for a period of 4 hours. Annual Maintenance of the Computers ensures low failure rate.

All the necessary legal softwares have been installed in all Computers. Printer-NLQ and Ink Jet Types help take out excellent quality prints.

HOSTEL
While the college has no Integral hostel, separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls will be provided close to the college.

PLACEMENT
Utmost care is taken to provide placement to graduates of this institution, as the institution has tied up with a number of reputed I.T. Industries.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

  • The candidates should have passed any undergraduate degree of at least 3 years duration, obtaining a 2nd class or 50% (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com.).

  • The candidates should have mathematics as compulsory subject for 2 years at least upto 10+2
    (Pre University or Intermediate).

  • The course duration is 6 semesters and the 1st five semesters are of 4 months each and the sixth semester spreads over a period of 6 months. I to V semester are course work and VI semester is project.
